Inquest Solicitor – Regulatory Healthcare Advisory Team – Hybrid

I am seeking an experienced Inquest Solicitor to join an expanding Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team within a top 40 ranked law firm. This diverse and dynamic team offers expert legal advice to both organisations and individuals in relation to health-based regulatory matters and proceedings.
The team works with a prestigious client base, including NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, care homes, and more. The role will primarily involve managing a caseload of inquest files for NHS clients and other organisations, with potential for involvement in broader healthcare advisory work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of inquest files
• Attend Inquest hearings at court, including travel
• Provide advocacy at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests
• Meet with clients and witnesses to prepare for court hearings
• Work in accordance with the firm’s values
• Perform other duties as required, in line with firm policies and targets

The Candidate:

Essential:

• Qualified Solicitor with 3-7 years PQE
• Advocacy experience and willingness to further develop advocacy skills

Desirable:

• Experience in regulatory defence
• Experience in inquest advocacy
• Healthcare and/or regulatory defence experience is preferred
