About You:
I am looking for a solicitor with a genuine passion for regulatory law and a desire to build a career in this area. You will bring a flexible and proactive approach to your work, handling a variety of tasks across multiple areas of regulatory practice. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A strong interest in regulatory law, particularly in Health & Safety, Inquests, and Motor Crime.
- Previous experience in any or all of these areas (Health & Safety, Inquests, and Motor Crime) is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A keen interest in criminal practice and process is beneficial.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to meet deadlines and targets.
Main Duties:
- Undertake work in Health & Safety, Inquests, and Motor Crime, both locally and nationally.
- Support specialist lawyers in areas like environmental law, transport regulation, and public inquiries.
- Prepare cases, attend client conferences, take witness statements, attend Court, instruct experts, and work with insurers.
- Review, analyse, and organise large volumes of materials in preparation for evidential hearings.
- Stay up to date with relevant regulatory law, legislative updates, and case reports.
- Assist in business development activities, including delivering training, networking, and preparing articles.
- Develop advocacy skills.
- Work within client and internal SLAs, as well as company values and procedures.
