Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Family Legal Secretary to support their dedicated family law team. Key responsibilities of the Family Secretary include:

  • Document Preparation: Drafting, preparing, and proofreading letters, legal documents, and court bundles.
  • Dictation and Transcription: Accurately typing notes from digital dictation, ensuring all correspondence is clear and correctly formatted.
  • Scheduling: Managing diary entries, coordinating appointments, and meeting critical deadlines.
  • File Management: Maintaining up-to-date electronic files, including emails, documents, and file notes.
  • Case Support: Assisting with client communications, responding promptly to queries, and offering a supportive presence throughout the legal process.
  • Court Portal Management: Handling family case documents through the court portal, downloading and filing all relevant documents systematically.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of secretarial experience in a legal environment, ideally within family law.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills, with a polished and professional approach.
  • Team Player: Capable of collaborating within a team and working independently to drive case progression.
  • Organizational Skills: Adept at handling multiple tasks with keen attention to detail and time management.
  • Proactivity: Demonstrates initiative, identifying potential issues and planning ahead for seamless support.
