Employment Solicitor for Charities and Social Enterprise Team

Clayton Legal is partnering closely with our client to support their expansion plans within the Charities sector.

Role Overview: Join one of the largest and most successful Charities teams outside London, working in a friendly and collegiate atmosphere for a diverse range of clients.
As an Employment Solicitor, you will primarily advise charities, social enterprises (including schools and academies), and private clients (employing care providers) on a broad spectrum of employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on contentious and non-contentious employment issues to a varied client base.
• Work collaboratively within a team to achieve financial targets and manage caseloads effectively.
• Take ownership of your workload, ensuring excellent service delivery to clients.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for seminars and breakfast briefings.
• Drive business development initiatives to contribute to team growth.
• Manage files in compliance with office procedures, including Lexcel standards.
• Support and mentor other team members in their caseload management.

Candidate Requirements:

• 0-4 years PQE in employment law; prior experience in HR, litigation, or similar roles is desirable.
• Strong communication and numerical skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Team-oriented with a proactive and methodical approach.
• Attention to detail with a logical and structured work style.
• Professional and personable demeanor, with empathy towards the voluntary sector.
