Duty Solicitors

My client is a long established firm with several offices across the east midlands. They are seeking qualified Duty candidates to join their Crime team in any of their offices. (Nottingham, Derby and Mansfield).
 
Candidate specification:

• All PQE will be considered
• Obtained CLAS Accreditation as a Duty Solicitor
• Experience maintaining casefiles via case management system
• Great communication both written and verbally
• Negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Confident in drafting all types of legal documents

 
The role:

• Interact with clients daily through telephone, video conferencing, or in-person meetings.
• Prepare and manage case files.
• Represent clients in court daily, including appearances in Plea (NGAP / GAP) courts, remand courts, contested trials, and sentencing hearings.
• Provide attendance and representation at police stations.
• Handle litigation matters related to Crown Court cases.
• Participate in out-of-hours work, including attending police stations and Saturday/Bank Holiday courts on a rotating basis.
