Position: Full time, permanent
Location: Coventry
My client is a highly reputable and long-standing law firm with office in the West Midlands. Due to expansion they are seeking a Duty Solicitor to join their team in the Coventry office.

Candidate specifications:
- Qualified duty solicitor
- 2+ PQE (ideally)
- Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a high volume caseload
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to criminal defence clients
- Manage a diverse caseload
- Conduct legal research
- Attend court hearings, conduct trials and provide representation at police stations
- Negotiate with prosecutors and other legal professionals
