Our client are seeking a passionate and skilled solicitor to join this experienced team of defence lawyers. With over 60 years of combined experience, this firm is well-established in providing expert defence for complex and serious criminal matters. They pride themselves on delivering robust, high-quality representation for their clients, covering all criminal and road traffic cases.

The successful candidate:

• Handling serious and complex criminal cases, including murder, drug offences, and fraud.
• Drafting legal documents such as bail applications, witness statements, and appeals.
• Representing clients at police stations and magistrates’ courts.
• Liaising with the CPS, police, and courts to ensure effective case progression.
• Supporting counsel in court hearings and client meetings.
• Conducting prison visits and client interviews to gather key case details.
• Managing case files efficiently using LEAP case management software.

About the candidate:

• Newly qualified solicitor 
• Excellent client care, case management, and legal analysis skills.
• Strong communication and advocacy abilities, with a meticulous approach to legal work.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Experience in criminal litigation, ideally including serious crime cases.
