An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable, newly qualified solicitor to join a specialist criminal, fraud, and regulatory practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong intellect, professional bearing, and the confidence to operate within a highly adversarial arena. While previous criminal experience is not essential, a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence are key.
Role Overview:
This is a fee-earning position involving complex fraud and criminal cases, where the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience from the outset. In addition to the core responsibilities, there will be opportunities for further professional development, including training in police station defense (if not already trained) and Crown Court advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on complex fraud and criminal cases, representing clients in high-stakes matters.
- Gain exposure to a diverse range of legal issues, including coroners’ inquests, regulatory matters, and associated civil work (e.g., judicial reviews and actions against public authorities).
- Take on increasingly challenging tasks and develop expertise in criminal and regulatory law.
Requirements:
