Crime - Paralegal / Caseworker

Vacancy: Criminal Paralegal or Caseworker
Position: Full time, permanent
Location: Bromley
 
My client is a multi award winning, legal 500 and top tier law firm with offices spread across the nation. One of the roles they are currently recruiting for is a paralegal to join their Crime team in the Bromley office.
 
What the successful candidate will have/be:

• Experience as a criminal paralegal
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage caseload related to criminal charges, investigations, trials and other criminal matters 
• Familiarity with legal aid processes
• Police station accredited or looking to become accredited soon

 
The role:

• Work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Meet with clients to understand their legal issues and personal circumstances.
• Conduct research to support case preparation and planning.
• Communicate with clients, opposing parties, and other professionals to gather evidence and exchange information.
• Keep case files organised and accurate.
• Assist with scheduling court hearings and meetings for clients.
• Attend court hearings and legal proceedings, taking notes and assisting with case presentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines at all times.
