Vacancy: Criminal Paralegal
Position: Full time, permanent
Location: Croydon
 
My client is a multi award winning, legal 500 and top tier law firm with offices spread across the nation. One of the roles they are currently recruiting for is a paralegal to join their Crime team in the Croydon office.
 
What the successful candidate will have/be:

• Experience as a criminal paralegal
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage caseload related to criminal charges, investigations, trials and other criminal matters
• Familiarity with legal aid processes
• Police station accredited or looking to become accredited soon

The role:

• Work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Meet with clients to gather information about their legal issues and personal circumstances.
• Carry out legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Communicate with clients, opposing parties, and other professionals to gather evidence and share information.
• Keep case files organised and accurate.
• Assist with scheduling court hearings and meetings for clients.
• Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings when required, taking notes and supporting case presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards at all times.
