Crime - Duty Solicitor (Essex + Suffolk)

Vacancy: Duty Solicitor
Position: Full time, permanent
Location: Essex & Suffolk

My client is a highly reputable regional firm who are committed to publicly funded legal services whist also doing private practice. Due to expansion they are currently seeking Duty Solicitors to join both their Essex and Suffolk offices.

The successful candidate:
· Duty qualified
· Experience of managing own cases
· Conducting all of your own advocacy, including conduct of your own trials
· Ability to represent clients at Police stations, Magistrates Court as a litigator on Crown Courts
The role and responsibilities:
· Providing excellent services to both legally aided and private clients
· Attend police stations, both in and out of office hours
· Providing advice and advocacy in the Magistrates court
