Costs Draftsperson

A  Costs Draftsperson vacancy has arisen within the Manchester office of a top 100 UK law firm. The Costs Team handles a diverse mix of costs work which includes clinical negligence, personal injury commercial and solicitor/ client matters and court of protection.
The role offers exposure to, and training across a full spectrum of costs duties; including drafting, budgets, points of dispute and negotiations. Is it essential that the right candidate has relevant experience in drafting bills of costs, as well as negotiating costs within a personal injury context. Additional experience of catastrophic personal injury work is desirable.
Responsibilities:

• Managing your own caseload
• Liaising with clients
• Upholding firm’s service standards and providing complete client satisfaction
• Maintaining current and working knowledge of costs law and civil procedure rules
• Bills of costs, points of dispute, replies, budgets, advices, negotiations
