The Role As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the firm’s compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a thriving legal practice, ensuring operational excellence and mitigating risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory bodies, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
• Develop, implement, and review risk management policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to partners and staff on compliance and regulatory matters.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Manage internal processes such as anti-money laundering (AML) and data protection (GDPR).
• Oversee client onboarding processes, ensuring adherence to due diligence requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

• A legal qualification or relevant compliance certifications would be advantageous.
