Our client is a respected and client-focused legal practice in the heart of Carlisle. Due to an increase in Family instructions, they are seeking a dedicated Care Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years PQE (or equivalent), to manage a varied caseload independently and collaboratively, ensuring high-quality legal services. The successful candidate will handle sensitive and complex care matters while maintaining a client-first approach.

Key responsibilities of the position will include: 

•    Independently manage a personal caseload of care law matters.
•    Take instructions from clients and provide tailored legal advice.
•    Represent clients effectively at court hearings.
•    Draft key legal documents, including court applications, orders, and legal aid applications.
•    Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 2 years PQE in care or family law, have a strong understanding of care proceedings and legal aid processes, be confident in handling cases independently while also contributing to a team, demonstrate excellent communication, advocacy, and drafting skills, and be committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients in often challenging circumstances.
