Private Client Solicitor / HOD

We’re assisting a national Legal 500 firm in their search for an experienced Private Client Solicitor with 5 years PQE or equivalent to join their Private Client team in Warrington, and to work as a supervisory member of the team to 2 junior team members.
This is a law firm that believes it’s people are it’s biggest asset, so hybrid working if wanted is available as standard, alongside an excellent salary and benefits package. It’s also growing the Private Client offering, and it’s envisaged that this role will become a Head of Department role in time.
Along with enthusiasm and experience, the successful Private Client Solicitor will be working on all aspects of Private Client matters, alongside:

• Effectively managing time to ensure chargeable and non-chargeable hours targets are met.
• Handling case files, including drafting correspondence, collating evidence, and preparing cost letters.
• Engaging with new clients and managing initial enquiries.
• Maintaining legal documentation with strict confidentiality.
• Attending client meetings, taking instructions, and preparing cases.
• Conducting matters on behalf of clients in line with their instructions.
• Overseeing support services, including the supervision of Paralegals and Legal Secretaries.
• Managing financial aspects, particularly cash flow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
• Providing regular case updates to clients.
• Addressing client queries regarding ongoing matters.
• Preparing and submitting required documents to court ahead of trial.

• Be proficient in using case management systems.
• Demonstrate a high standard of computer literacy.
• Have strong time management and organisational skills.
• Possess specialist knowledge of Private Client Law.
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
