I wanted to share an exceptional opportunity that has arisen for a Paralegal position within the rapidly growing Professional Misconduct team within a Business Crime & Regulation department in our clients London office.

This full-time, office-based role will offer you exposure to high-quality work from the outset, with the potential for career progression for the right candidate. While the role is office-based, flexible working arrangements can be discussed on an individual basis where suitable.

As a Paralegal in this team, you will support all lawyers in the team, interacting with clients, managing tasks, carrying out research, and building positive professional relationships with clients, experts, counsel, and other legal professionals. You will have the chance to work on a variety of cases, including regulatory misconduct matters for serving police officers as well as general and serious crime defence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the legal team, including client interaction, research, and managing tasks.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, experts, counsel, and other professionals.
  • Assist with the preparation of case materials and legal documents.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to react to developing situations and adapt quickly.
  • Professional presentation and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced legal research skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in criminal law.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations, criminal financing, bribery, and corruption legislation.
  • Experience with police interviews or regulatory interviews.
  • Police station accreditation would be highly advantageous.
