Private Client (Court of Protection) Solicitor

A highly regarded and ranked law firm, recognized by legal directories such as The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, is seeking to recruit a full-time NQ-4 Year PQE Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to assist its Private Client Team with deputyship and trust work. The successful candidate will have experience drafting Court of Protection applications, assisting with deputyship applications, liaising with clients and case managers, applying for statutory benefits and various insurance policies, assisting with the preparation of the OPG annual report, preparing expenditure spreadsheets, engrossing wills and trust deeds, and providing administrative support to the COP team.

Strong administrative and literacy skills are essential. The role requires a methodical approach, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently, as tasks will be allocated throughout the day, including urgent matters requiring timely action.

As part of a busy team, the candidate will interact with people at all levels, making excellent communication skills crucial, particularly when dealing with vulnerable clients with varying degrees of capacity. Participation in marketing activities to promote the profile of the team is also expected.

Proficiency in IT systems, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.
