The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join a dynamic Litigation Department within a highly regarded law firm. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing key technical and administrative support to fee earners while ensuring a high level of client service.
The Role
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting litigation matters from start to finish. You will be the first point of contact for client enquiries, assist with case preparation, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Case Support
- Acting as the first point of contact for client enquiries, ensuring a professional and welcoming approach.
- Assisting fee earners in managing caseloads, including document preparation and file management.
- Scheduling and attending client meetings, handling onboarding documentation, and providing case updates.
- Administrative & Technical Support
- Managing electronic and physical client files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Preparing invoices and supporting the team with billing processes.
- Assisting with diary management, correspondence, and case administration.
- Utilising case management and document management systems efficiently.
- Conducting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks and processing electronic signatures.
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of litigation processes and terminology would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management systems.

- Professional, approachable, and confident when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
