Care Solicitor (1 to 10 year PQE)

Our client, a well-established and fast-paced legal practice, is seeking a dedicated Child Care Solicitor to join their team in either Blackburn or Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, providing expert legal advice and representation to parents, grandparents, other family members, and children, including through CAFCASS-appointed Guardians.
The ideal candidate will be a Child Care Solicitor (all levels of experience considered), have strong advocacy skills and experience managing complex cases, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and achieve targets, and business development experience and a professional network are advantageous, along with Law Society Children Panel Accreditation preferred.
Responsibilities will include:
- Independently manage a varied caseload, covering all aspects of Child Care law, including Legal Aid procedures, Care Orders, Adoption, Child Protection matters, Domestic Abuse cases, and more.
- Oversee legal aid applications and CCMS procedures, ensuring compliance.
- Prepare court documents, attend hearings, and undertake advocacy where required.
- Supervise and support junior colleagues, assisting with training and development.
- Contribute to business development, networking, and marketing efforts.
- Maintain high client care standards, working sensitively with vulnerable individuals.
