Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive
Full-Time (35 hours per week)

The Role: They are looking for an enthusiastic Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and develop a caseload of criminal law matters, ensuring high-quality representation for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of criminal defence work, including representation at the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court.
- Participate in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance.
- Develop and maintain local and regional networks to attract and secure new business opportunities.
Role-Specific Requirements:
- A current practising certificate from the SRA or CILEx.
- Ability to run your own caseload and work autonomously.
- Advocacy skills with the ability and willingness to conduct your own advocacy.
- Strong marketing skills and ability to build and grow your caseload.
- Procedural and technical competence in criminal defence work.
- Commitment to meeting financial targets and working under pressure to short deadlines.
- Excellent client care skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Willingness to become Duty Qualified if not already accredited.
