Dispute Resolution Lawyer at Legal 500 Firm

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Dispute Resolution Lawyer looking for a new opportunity? Join our client’s award-winning Legal 500 firm, a 2022 Yorkshire Legal Award winner, and take your career to the next level. Our client is seeking a talented individual with 5 years PQE or equivalent to join their Dispute Resolution Team in York or another North Yorkshire office.

Role Overview: As a key member of their Dispute Resolution Team, you will:

  • File Management: Ensure file management and working practices align with the firm’s Policies, Plans, and Procedures, and follow Departmental Guidelines.
  • Client Service: Provide a caring, quality service to clients, adhering to the firm’s plans and targets.
  • Case Conduct: Manage your own cases and assist other fee-earners and partners in delivering advice and representation.
  • Timely Service: Ensure timely delivery of services, keeping clients regularly informed on progress and costs.
  • Professional Development: Develop and maintain competencies necessary for high-standard service, and maintain records of professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Handle a diverse range of Commercial and Civil Disputes, Landlord and Tenant issues, Debt recovery, and Neighbour disputes.
  • Assist Directors in implementing the firm’s vision and strategy.
  • Engage in business development and meet clients face-to-face.
  • Communicate confidently with clients and potential clients.
  • Manage workflows, meet and exceed deadlines and targets.

Candidate Requirements:
 

  • Sound knowledge of all usual Dispute Resolution areas.
  • Proven track record in business development and client interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own workflows effectively.
