Role Overview:

The firm is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Trainee Paralegal/Paralegal to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring legal professional to gain hands-on experience, supporting solicitors across multiple practice areas, with potential for future growth within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Casework Support: Assist solicitors with case preparation, document drafting, and file management across various legal disciplines.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on legal issues, case law, and regulations to support ongoing cases and provide insights.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to gather information, schedule appointments, and provide updates under the supervision of a solicitor.
  • Document Preparation: Draft correspondence, legal documents, and court forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain organized case files, manage calendars, and assist with general administrative duties to support the legal team.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other paralegals and solicitors, learning from experienced professionals while contributing to the smooth running of the firm.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a legal environment is advantageous but not essential; candidates with a law degree or equivalent legal qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a good understanding of legal IT systems.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in law and developing as a legal professional.
