Criminal Solicitor

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Position Type: Full-Time (1 day WFH per week)

A leading criminal defence practice, specialising in all aspects of Criminal Law, from traffic offences to Crown Court trials. With over 50 years of collective experience, they provide expert legal services to both private clients and those eligible for legal aid. Priding themrselves on delivering high-quality legal representation and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Role:
I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor or highly skilled Accredited Police Station Representative to join this esteemed practice. This role requires a proactive and autonomous individual capable of managing complex and high-level criminal cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in criminal matters across Police Stations, Magistrates’ Courts, and Crown Courts.
• Conduct prison visits and liaise with Barristers.
• Attend to police stations across Guildford and Basingstoke on a rota basis (2-3 times a week).
• Handle a varied caseload including high-profile and sensitive matters.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring the highest standard of representation.
• Operate with autonomy; there will be times when you are the sole representative in the office while other staff attend to clients.

Requirements:

• Police Station Accreditation is essential.
• Experience in criminal law advocacy.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
• A commitment to upholding the rights of clients and delivering justice.
