Contentious Trusts & Probate - Senior Associate/Partner

They’re now seeking a specialist in contentious trusts and probate to join Hertfordshire’s leading Wills, Trusts, and Probate team. The team is one of the largest and most experienced in Hertfordshire, and includes four partners and a range of associates and specialists. They serve a wide client base, from local families to wealthy clients across the UK, with expertise in lifetime planning, wealth management, and trust services.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about this area and play a key role in helping high-profile clients and furthering the success of a top-tier team, ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers HNW.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on contentious trust and probate matters, including:
  • Removing executors or trustees
  • Making or defending claims against executors or trustees
  • Inheritance Act claims
  • Will and Trust disputes
  • Power of Attorney and succession disputes
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, promoting trust and collaboration
• Supervise junior staff
• Engage in proactive marketing and business development

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in contentious probate
• Knowledge of contested trust and probate best practices
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• IT proficient, ideally with case management experience
• Enthusiastic about growing this area of work
• ACTAPS or SFE accreditation preferred
